Home is where you recharge.
Battery storage and EV charging, planned around your home. Store electricity for later, choose the essentials you want backed up, and make charging part of your everyday routine.
Three things a battery does for you
Each one depends on your rate plan, your usage and which circuits you want covered, so your estimate is built from yours.
Keep what you generate
If you have solar, the power you don’t use right away charges the battery instead of going to the grid for a small credit.
Lower bills, less PG&E
The battery covers your evenings and the hours when grid power costs the most, so you buy less of it.
A hedge against outages
When the grid goes down, the circuits you choose, like the fridge, lights, internet or well pump, keep running for as long as the stored energy lasts.
No panels yet? A battery can still back up the essentials. We’ll tell you whether adding solar makes sense, and what each one would do on its own.
Sized to how you use power
We install Enphase and Tesla batteries. Enphase IQ Battery 10C stores 10 kWh usable per unit and stacks in steps. Tesla Powerwall 3 stores 13.5 kWh per unit, with expansion units that add more.
- Sized to your usage — we look at how much solar you send to the grid today and how much you buy back at night.
- Energy and power — kWh is how long the battery can run things; kW is how much it can run at once. We size both to your list of essentials.
- Sized to the panel — quotes assume a critical-load panel, and come down if your house doesn't need one.
- Matched to your system — a battery added to an existing array matches its platform, so service never turns into finger-pointing.
Charge at home, on your schedule
A charger in the garage or driveway means the car is ready every morning, without a stop on the way home. Before we recommend one, we look at what your house can supply.
- An assessment first — we check your electrical panel’s capacity and the run from the panel to where you park.
- Planned with your solar — if you have panels, charging can use your own production when the car is home during the day.
- Planned with your battery — we set up charging so it doesn’t drain the energy you’re keeping for an outage.
Already have solar?
A battery can often be added to the system you have. If your inverter has failed, we compare restoring it with upgrading to battery-backed solar, because that is a different project from a simple battery add-on. See solar services
Already on NEM 2?
Tell us before we design anything. We review your current agreement and design the upgrade for PG&E’s review, so your NEM 2 status is part of the plan from the first conversation.
